Down On Me :)

Here’s a band that maybe you probably wouldn’t hear on the radio, but with the Sturgis Rally every year this band comes to serve the Full Throttle Saloon. Jackyl formed in Kennesaw, Georgia in 1990. Though they may not typically be a hair band, they’re still classified as such. Besides Jesse James Dupree being on every season of Full Throttle Saloon on TruTV, the band is best known for the song “The Lumberjack”.

The band released their self-titled album from Geffen Records and went platinum in 1992. In 1994, their second album Push Comes to Shove was released. That same year the band played at Woodstock ’94 in Saugerties, New York. Again in 1997, the band released another album. This one entitled Cut the Crap. The album featured Brian Johnson from AC/DC. In 2000, Jesse James Dupree recorded and released a solo album called Foot Fetish. Jackyl has also set two Guinness world records. The first in for playing 100 concerts in 50 days and another one for performing 21 concerts in a 24 hour period. Now-a-Days, you can see the guys on Full Throttle Saloon.

  1. I like them, but they for sure are not my favorite band. I only like the song Get Higher

    1. Yep. I'm not super big on them, but none-the-less it's cool to see a band that really supports something so close to home :)

  2. I do have to say, though, for dudes they have some prettyyy girly hair lol. That was kind of the point of a "hair band" :)

  3. I don't think I've heard anything by these guys. That's cool they come to the area every year, though.
